Spyder – Mahesh Babu on a mission to save the world from bio-terror
The bi-lingual spy thriller film directed by AR Murugadoss is Prince Mahesh Babu’s first outing in Tamil. The bilingual trailer of Mahesh Babu’s much awaited spy flick, ‘Spyder’ provides a peep into the actor’s character. The 1.5-minute trailer gives justice to the hype created around the actor’s character, Shiva The trailer sets the tone for a gripping tale of romance, revenge and suspense.
It introduces, Shiva who works as an IT professional with the Intelligence Bureau. The soft-spoken geek has developed a software to help people in crisis. But the invention becomes a nemesis, when the antagonist, SJ Suryah comes up with his sinister plans to wrack havoc in the world and tries to make use of it to achieve his evil plans. The role seems to be tailor made for Mahesh Babu as he carries it with easy exuberance and charisma. We see that even though Mahesh babu’s character, Shiva is thoughtful and composed mostly, he explodes with energy when the situation calls for it as evident from the trailer.
Special mention must be made of S.J Surya playing the role of a villainous character who seems to have no regard for the loss of human lives. His menacing dialogue ‘come’ in the trailer sends the viewers a shiver of malignity and overall promises to be a fitting nemesis for Shiva.
Rakul Preet Singh, who plays the love interest for Mahesh’s character seems to be bubbly throughout and appears to complement Mahesh’s composed body language and broodiness in the trailer. She added charm to the trailer. The films trailer has clean edits, stylish and extraordinary visuals that promises to appease the audience. Harris Jeyaraj’s background music and songs seem to have his own brand of jazzy music which will sure attract the listeners.
Another commendable fact is Mahesh Babu’s dubbing in Tamil which showcases his excellent diction. The film also has actor Bharath, R.J Balaji and Priyadarshi Pullikonda in important roles. Spyder trailer has received a huge response from movie fanatics. Spyder appears to be a film for all sections. All in all, the trailer rocks with all elements and helps predominantly in raising curiosity to watch the film.
It may be a surprise but Spyder is the first film in the recent times that will not have any Disclaimer. No statutory warnings will be issued throughout the film, which rarely happens. Mahesh Babu’s performance along with the VFX work and the super knock by SJ Suryah are said to the film’s major highlights. Censor board members revealed that the film will sure end up as an impressive action entertainer.
‘Spyder’ which promises a power packed story, excellent CG works and mind-boggling action sequences is set to hit the screens on September 27.
